Rich History

Research training of PhD students and post-doctoral fellows in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology has been supported by a training grant from the National Institutes of Health’s National Cancer Institute since 1975.  In July 2016, the department received notice that this training grant would be renewed for its 8th consecutive time and thereby continue the tradition of supporting trainees through 2021. The program’s flexible curriculum allows opportunity to take courses throughout the Bloomberg School of Public Health, which has been rated #1 for 21 consecutive years by the U.S. News & World Report.
